“Lifeline” is an internet Youtube series with the first episode offered for free in Youtube. The rest of the series is offered on Youtube Premium. It is not the first internet series to appear but it´s worth the watch. There are many more that are just so well done. Now before you disregard any series or movie from the internet because so many are cheaply done, low budget disasters let me tell you that there are many that are worth the watch, or at least the peek and this is one of them.

Lifeline 1st. episode on Youtube website

“Lifeline” is the story of Conner Hooks who is a top employee or agent in a company called Lifeline with a mysterious product. It goes without saying that the story takes place in the not-distant-future where technology and the access to it dictates where a person is on the social class scale. I also loved the cameo of The Rock, Dwayne Johnson. Lifeline is not a spy agency or a murder for hire company. Let me just say that they are in the `insurance´ business.

The idea of this story is pretty original. The company of Lifeline has developed a business based on a terrific idea that can really benefit humanity but in the series we really get to see where that technology is misused and where neglect or corporate indifference is a crime. The way Lifeline uses their technology and the lack of ethics reminds me of stories of the Titanic while it was sinking and how life boats would go out half full because they were meant for the people of higher social status. I´m not gonna give away any spoilers but you have a little of that kind of scenario in this series. The company is run by heartless people.

So go check out “Lifeline” to watch some good internet or to be exposed to a fresh new idea. I liked the first episode and I think it will develop into a great series.
