“Get Out” is the story of African American, photographer Chris Washington, played by Daniel Kaluuya, who goes on weekend with his European American girlfriend, named Rose Armitage who is played by Allison Williams. They both go to visit Rose´s parent´s in their upper middle class home in the fairly secluded woods.  There is great unease from the very beginning and things turn strange immediately. Now at first glance you might attribute the strange atmosphere between the characters from their ethnic differences but that is only the surface. The story develops into a scary flight for his life by the main character after a strange kind of cult is discovered,

“Get Out” is a fun and interesting satire, metaphor for what you could call race relations in modern day America. You have the smug, condescending attitudes, the strange silence of the staff that take care of the parent´s home and so many other signs of strangeness that makes this film an irresistible mystery. It really adds to the feeling that Daniel fell into a trap.

This is a good film so check it out and enjoy.

John
