“Terra Nova” is an American sci-fi, drama, action series made for television. The idea for the series is based on the idea from British writer Kelly Marcel who is also an executive producer along with Steven Spielberg. It was created by Kelly Marcel and Craig Silverstein and stars a very talented cast of actors including Jason O´Mara, Shelley Conn, Christine Adams, Allison Miller, Landon Liboiron, Naomi Scott, Emilia Burns, Alana Mansour, Stephen Lang, Rod Hallett, Simone Kessell, Dean Geyer, Damien Garvey, Damian Walshe-Howling, Peter Lamb, Ezekial Simat, Lasarus Ratuere, Pacharo Mzembe, Aisha Dee, Eka Darville, Carmel Rose and Matthew Scully. The cast of actors, producers and  everybody else that worked on this project is huge and I feel bad that I can´t mention them all because they did such a good job. This is a very good series with a great story and beautiful world-building.

Terra Nova IMDb website:

“Terra Nova” is the story of officer James `Jim´Shannon, played by Jason O´Mara, who flees with his family an overpopulated, polluted Earth into a prehistoric world similar to the prehistoric world from our past. It is a dangerous place of dinosaurs, strange vegetation and undiscovered regions. Jim comes to this world illegally to rejoin his family and eventually serves as a kind of security deputy in this new colony.

The colonist must learn to survive in this new hostile world with large ferocious animals of all kinds as well solve the growing problems that plague their community. Problems such as secession and a growing black market with a criminal mafia taking hold are just a few of the obstacles this new colony faces. Their biggest challenge will be how to handle an invading Earth.

“Terra Nova” is the story of refugees fleeing an unlivable Earth. It´s such a common theme in all forms of storytelling because it plays such an important role in the human experience. Whether the refugees are fleeing for freedoms, environmental disasters, scarcity or a better standard of living it is the story of so many people and most of our ancestors. The idea of fleeing a ruined Earth is particularly terrifying because we all have a bond with the places we´ve been raised in and traveled to. This is a good series that is definitely worth the watch. So enjoy it folks!
