Beware The Tricky Software

What does a person do when they know there aren´t enough hours in the day to get everything done? When it comes to our private life outside of all obligations, It is getting harder and harder to chose what hobbies to do. Our selections are growing at the speed of technology but our days are not getting any longer. I could easily immerse myself in a few websites day after day at the expense of my friends and other projects, but that is unhealthy. More and more of our lives are being managed by technology and that is not always a good thing.

We´ve hit the real technology wall. The technology wall has little to do with speed or memory or even cloud access, in my opinion. It´s our ballooning number of choices and how technology choices are an increasingly indispensable part of our everyday lives. In this modern age more and more of our time feels taken from us with more choices tugging at our sleeves, pulling us in different directions. That is the technology wall. It is not about mismanaging our time or a lack of skill with emerging technologies. Like I just said it´s about our ever increasing number of choices. Ironically, computers will most likely help us with this problem.

We can expect the descendants of mobile apps to take a larger part in helping us run our lives. From posting our blogs to even boiler-plating some letters, articles or theses. There is a warning to heed here. The first of these management softwares, (You can also call them apps), will most likely be garbage fraught with information thieves that can steal data. Even with the accelerating pace of technology these life/internet management softwares will only start to become reliable after 15 years or so when they´ve been tried and have the proper safeguards. Nowadays those safeguards just don´t exist no matter who claims they do. So we need to pay particular attention to softwares that deals with our finances, health and even our technology. Those are the biggest honeypots for the technologically savvy and unscrupulous individuals who push management software on us.

What do I mean by management software you might ask? Well any software or app that has a large amount of your personal information or manages an important part of your life. It might be banking software, some health app on your mobile phone or even a dating app. Like I said areas that involve your health, finances or technology are the biggest targets.

So I guess the solution to the technological wall we´re hitting is more technology. For better or for worse, we will give computers more and more control over our lives. So, stay away from the shady management software they´re pushing on the foolish today and wait for the good and reliable stuff set to come out 15 years hence. Beware the tricky software folks because it´s out there.
